Urban Legends are stories that concern outlandish, humiliating, humorous, terrifying, or supernatural events. Many legends that are demonstrably false in their particulars have turned out to be based on a piece of a fact slightly. Urban legends are not necessarily false, but they are often distorted and exaggerated. Urban legends are popular stories alleged to be true which spread from person to person by talking or written communication.
Blooding Mary:
Bloody Mary is the first Urban Legend I would like to talk about. Bloody Mary real name was Mary Tudor; the Queen of England and daughter of King Henry the 8th and Catherine of Aragon. All her life, she was a mean brat to her little sister, Elizabeth and her brother Edward VI. She did not like them at all and was very jealous. When Edward VI died, she became Queen Mary of England. She was hated all over for changing the religion in England from Protestant to Roman Catholic. Mary mass-murdered over 100 Protestant leaders, earning her name as "Bloody Mary”. The urban legend says that if a person goes in the bathroom with the lights off, and say “bloody Mary” 13 times; a woman will appear and scratch your face up or off.
Weggie board:
Weggie board was bought up by eight girls that practiced witch craft. They wanted to talk to the beyond to talk to one of the girl deceased mother. The legend goes that when they ask the board a question; they close their eye and let the beyond answer the question. What ever the beyond say will come true no matter what.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre:
The urban legend says they a maniac that was made fun of when he was younger goes around killing those how said something bad about him; every Halloween. There was a movie made about this to put the legend out nation wide. This legend still goes on every year.
All in all Urban Legends are what you can call spooky or scary but you can also call them funny or humiliating. I don’t personally believe in them but a lot of people do; and that is why they are still around. My guess is that they will continue to be past for generation to generation.

How Media violence effects different people in different ways

The Media has a big effect on peoples lifes. It could make people move out there homes, hurt other people, or even make people aggressive and kill others. Video games can make kids immate what they see that is violent. The media can also make people scared to live in there neighborhoods and make them want to move because they don't want the violence that is taking place on the news to happen to them. The last effect media can have on people is to make them mad and aggressive and want to be like the killers that they see on T.V.
